What’s Your Super Smoothie Recipe?

It’s been exactly 1 year, since I’ve had any type of cold or illness. I think my immune system stays so strong because of the way I eat. Several times per week I make this super smoothie that is full of nutrients I don’t think I would be able to fit in any other way. It sounds (and kind of looks) gross but it actually tastes amazing. As soon as I wake up, I have a cup of hot lemon water, then a scoop of Athletic Greens mixed with water, a green tea, and then either oatmeal or my super smoothie.

The smoothie contains the following:

1 banana (Potassium, energy, sweetness)

1-2 handfuls of spinach or kale (Iron, chlorophyl, Vitamin C, +++)

1 cup frozen berries (Antioxidants)

1 tbs. flax oil (Omegas)

1 tsp. liquid calcium

1tsp. chia seeds (Omegas)

1 tbs. molasses (Iron…especially good if you don’t eat much red meat)

1 tsp cinnamon (Revs up metabolism)

1 tsp. turmeric (natural anti-inflammatory)

1tbs. goji berries (Superfood-Antioxidant)

1/3 cup of soft tofu (Protein)

1 brasil nut (Selenium)

8 oz. of rice, almond, soy milk, or apple juice

Try it and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your feedback.

Pre-Pregnancy Weight After 1 Week! How I Did It…

My son was born Jan. 21st 2014. Here is a photo of us 1 week after I gave birth to him. You can see that I am pretty much back to my normal weight.  How did I do it? I attribute that to my way of eating…

The 4 Hour Body works! Eating “slow carbs” as opposed to carbs that are metabolized quickly really makes a difference. I also think that drinking my Athletic Greens, green drink every day and gave me the energy I needed to keep me healthy before, and throughout my pregnancy.
My trick is to fill up on as many healthy foods (G-BOMBS) as I can throughout the day, which leaves me little room or craving for food that isn’t good for me. Don’t get me wrong, I looooove chips, cookies, cake and many other foods that I know won’t benefit me, but of course I still eat them; I just limit them.
I hope you find this blog helpful for reaching your goals. Check the Cheat Sheet for following the 4 Hour Body diet, and my coaching packages.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you need support in reaching your goals. I’m hear to help.
