4-Hour BODY Worthy Protein Pancake Recipes

I scoured the internet to find the best protein pancake recipes that are allowed when doing the 4 Hour Body Diet. I didn’t want to create yet another protein pancake recipe since there are so many great (tasting) ones already out there, but not all protein pancakes are created equal and not all have the ingredients that are “approved” or included in the okay-to-eat-during-the-week list. I spent some time researching and looking at all of the ingredients (so you don’t have to) and provided my top picks here for when you’re sick of eating scrambled eggs. Please remember…nooooo syrop except on cheat days! You could top them with a little almond butter or banana, or I like to heat up some mixed berries with stevia. Skinny Banana Oatmeal Pancakes

These pancakes are a perfect alternative to a boooooooring scrambled egg breakfast, because they are made without conventional white flour but instead with of one scoop of protein powder, and oats. They also include protein-rich egg whites. I would replace the honey it calls for with Stevia, but other than that these are a great choice. Photo and Recipe: BY

2 Bananas, ripe
4 Eggs
1/2 cup Rolled oats
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 scoop Protein powder (plain or vanilla)

Add oats to a food processor or blender and blend until they’re as fine as flour. Remove to a bowl. Next add the eggs, protein powder and cinnamon to the blender and blend until smooth.

Scoop about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake and pour onto a hot buttered pan. Cook on one side until bubbles begin to appear on the surface and then flip to cook on the other side.

Skinny Banana Oatmeal Pancakes

This is the one I make most often that resembles a recipe I found in a Fit For Life Book back in the 90’s. Wow! I’ve been eating this way for a log time! Hmm.

Ingredients

3 Eggs
1/3 cup of oatmeal (not instant)
1/3 cup  of low fat (1%, no salt added) cottage cheese
1 tsp of vanilla
1/2 scoop Protein powder (plain or vanilla)
1-2  packets of Stevia

Put everything together in the blender to form a batter. Pour a large portion of it in a frying pan on medium heat with melted butter and cook on both sides. These hotcakes are really sweet because of the Stevia and protein powder, however you can top them with crisp organic fruits, almond butter or with a little more butter if you’d like. Photo and Recipe: BY Ilyse Rogozenski

Comments

  1. This is a bit misleading. Bananas, berries, and oats are not allowed on the 4 hour body diet. With the protein powder, you need to be very specific with what kinds are allowed (basically just isolate without any added sugar). These pancakes are only allowed on your cheat day.

  2. Yeah none of these would fall under the suitable foods during the week category, unless the protein on the last pancakes was sugar free. Sorry this is just click bait

    • Yes, these are completely sugar-free and high protein to contrast the banana.

      • but fruit is not allowed except on cheat days. And I was under the impression that oats were not allowed either. I’m confused as to how these are 4hb. I mean they sound healthy…but not under 4hb guidelines

        • Hi Carrie,

Yes, you are right, in the post I state, if you absolutely have to cheat during your diet because you’re so sick of the regular eggs, these are a good option or you could save them for your cheat day. They are lower carb/higher protein than regular pancakes. Hopefully that clears it up. All the best, Heather
